Setup

1
Issue an API key

Sign in โ†’ P&L page โ†’ "Generate API Key" โ†’ Copy

You can use the same API key as MT4/MT5. If you already issued one, reuse it as is.

2
Add the cBot file to cTrader
Method A: double-click the .algo file (easy)

Double-clicking the downloaded PropMemoTracker.algo makes cTrader import it automatically.

Method B: copy it manually
  1. Copy the downloaded PropMemoTracker.algo into this folder:
C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\cAlgo\Sources\Robots\

* If you can't find the folder: open cTrader โ†’ the "Automate" tab in the bottom left โ†’ right-click "cBots" โ†’ "Open Algo Folder".

* Restart cTrader after copying the file.

3
Start the cBot
  1. Find "PropMemoTracker" in the "Automate" tab
  2. Double-click it (or drag and drop it onto any chart)
  3. Enter the parameters and click "Start"

โœ“
Done!

Once connected successfully, the cTrader log tab shows something like:

Detected firm: Fintokei (fintokei)
Register: {\"success\":true,\"auto_linked\":true}
Account auto-linked to challenge.
Daily P&L sent: 30 days, initial_balance=100000.00

Check the account data and charts on the P&L page.

DD guard feature

When daily drawdown hits the configured limit, it automatically closes every open position, cancels every pending order, and stops the cBot.

How it works
  1. Monitors balance/equity on every tick
  2. Calculates the drawdown % from the day's peak value
  3. DD limit reached โ†’ closes every position and cancels every order
  4. The cBot stops automatically
  5. The DD value resets at the configured time (default: UTC 0:00)

Note: the DD guard is a last line of defense. Set it a bit tighter than the prop firm's DD limit. Example: if the firm's DD limit is 5%, set it to 4.5%.

Building from source

To edit the source code directly, create a new cBot from the "Automate" tab in cTrader and paste the code in, or build it with these steps:

  1. In cTrader's "Automate" tab โ†’ right-click "cBots" โ†’ "New cBot"
  2. Open the generated template and replace all the code with the contents of PropMemoTracker.cs
  3. Click "Build"

The source code will be published on GitHub.

FAQ

Does the cBot affect trading?
Normally it only reads the balance. When the DD guard is ON, it closes everything and stops the cBot once the limit is hit. Can be switched ON/OFF via the parameters.
Can I use the same API key as the MT4/MT5 version?
Yes. You can reuse the API key from the same prop-memo.com account as is. Mixing platforms is fine.
Is granting Full Access safe?
It's needed for HTTP communication and saving the DD state to a file. It only communicates with prop-memo.com, and the full source code is public. No DLL required.
Can I use it on multiple accounts at once?
Yes. Start the cBot separately on each account. Multiple accounts can be recorded at once with the same API key.
What does the Manual DD Reset parameter do?
When turned ON at startup, it resets the DD tracking value to the current balance/equity. Normally leave it OFF โ€” the automatic reset (at a set time every day) applies instead.
