Runs prop-memo.com
Hosono P
The prop firm strategist
I'm a trader and programmer based in Japan. I buy prop firm challenges with my own money, attack them with EAs and discretionary trading, and record everything through to the payout on this site. Its job is to answer "which firm, which plan, and how to play it" with numbers from my own accounts and expected value calculations.
Payout record
| Firm | Payouts | Total | Period |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fintokei | 6 | ¥3,171,243 | Feb–May 2026 |
| Fundora | 1 | ¥1,785,053 | May 2026 |
| Funded7 | 12 | ¥1,147,040¥2M account, run with ELDRA only (account record) | Mar–Sep 2026 |
| The5ers | 2 | $4,776.53High Stakes $100K (payout report) | Sep 2026 |
| Total | 21 | ¥6,103,336 + $4,776.53 | |
Total of the payouts logged in my prop-memo challenge records as of September 25, 2026 (fees and charges not deducted). Account numbers and trading methods are not published. I assume every prop account ends some day, so I size accounts around a cap on what one firm will pay out.
Editorial policy
Buy it myself, check it myself
Where possible I buy the challenges I write about, and I check the rules first-hand on the official site, help center and checkout. I write the date I checked, and I say "unconfirmed" when I couldn't confirm something.
Avoiding losses over promising wins
Instead of discount rates and marketing lines, I give you the numbers to decide whether a plan is worth buying: cost per unit of loss room, target-to-drawdown ratio and expected value. The scripts behind the calculations are public.
Bad news gets written too
Even for firms I'm affiliated with, I write about rule changes for the worse, held payouts and contradictions in their terms. I've written about my own account being put on hold.
Disclose my position first
Articles with affiliate links disclose it at the top. I'm the author of the semi-discretionary EA "ELDRA", so I always say so when I mention it.
What I build
- prop-memo.com: firm comparisons, challenge and EA P&L tracking, and research articles. Also usable from AI agents via MCP and API.
- Semi-discretionary EA "ELDRA": an EA built to fight within prop firm rules. Introduction page (written by its author).
- Online community "Hosono P's FX Base" on CAMPFIRE (in Japanese).
Affiliations
I have affiliate links with Fintokei, The5ers and Funded7. Purchases through them earn this site a fee, and buyers receive ELDRA as a bonus. Affiliation does not change my ratings. If an affiliated firm changes its rules for the worse or holds payouts, I write about it.
