Pros and cons
+Pros
- ✓No consistency rule, no minimum trading days, no time limit — on every plan
- ✓1-Step's 7% max loss is static (based on the initial balance) and doesn't move even on the funded account
- ✓3-Step is cheap at $370 for $100K, and there's no daily loss limit
- ✓Instant skips the evaluation, has a 90% split, and the first withdrawal can be requested anytime
- ✓1-Step's funded account gets a monthly base payment called "Lark Base" (0.5% of the account, with conditions)
- ✓News trading, scalping, and hedging within the same account are all allowed
-Cons
- ✗No refund on the fee (stated explicitly in the official help center)
- ✗A $40 fee per withdrawal (via Riseworks, $100 minimum)
- ✗No MT4/MT5 (DXtrade, cTrader and Match-Trader only)
- ✗Holding over the weekend is a paid add-on (10% of the fee); without it, everything auto-closes at 15:45 ET on Friday
- ✗Placing an order without a stop loss gets it auto-closed (a soft violation)
- ✗Instant is pricey — $4,500 for $100K — and its 8% max loss trails your highest value until you hit +8% or make your first withdrawal
- ✗There's a $10,000 profit cap per day and per trade (exceeding it means redoing the challenge, or having the excess excluded on a funded account)
- ✗No Japanese support

FAQ
Which plan should I choose?
If you cap daily losses around 2.5% and risk about 1% per trade, 1-Step is the better bet (its 7% max loss is static and doesn't move on withdrawal). If you want to trade small and keep the fee down, go with 3-Step ($370 for $100K, no daily limit). Instant is pricey at $4,500 for $100K, so it suits traders confident in a high win rate. We work through the numbers in Lark Funding's expected value article.
Is the fee refundable?
No. The official help center states that challenge fees are not currently eligible for a refund.
How often can I withdraw, and what are the fees?
1-Step and 3-Step pay out every 14 days; Instant's first withdrawal can be requested anytime, then every 30 days after that. The minimum is $100, with a $40 fee deducted per withdrawal (via Riseworks). There's also a paid add-on for withdrawals every 7 days, which must be purchased before you pass.
How does Instant's max loss move?
The line sits 8% below your highest balance until profit hits +8% or you request your first withdrawal, at which point it locks at the initial balance. Withdraw before reaching +8% and your only remaining cushion is whatever profit you left in the account. Withdrawing doesn't reset the line.
What is Lark Base?
A monthly base payment exclusive to 1-Step. The official page explains that on a funded account, if you have 3+ days with +0.5% profit that month and your loss stays shallower than −3.5%, you receive 0.5% of the account size (that's $500/month on $100K, capped at $1,000). The finer points of how it's paid aren't covered in the help center.
Can I use martingale or grid strategies?
The official prohibited list doesn't name martingale or grid strategies specifically. But "a position that could hit the loss limit in a single trade" is banned as all-or-nothing trading, and the official recommendation is to cap risk per trade idea at 1.5%. Stacking-lot strategies could run afoul of this clause.
What platforms are supported?
Three: DXtrade, cTrader, and Match-Trader. MT4/MT5 are not supported.
Can I change strategy mid-challenge or after passing?
We couldn't find a clear published rule on changing strategy. If you're planning to swap EAs or make a major change in approach, ask support directly before you buy.
