Moneta Funded

モネタファンデッド

A prop firm founded by David Bily, founder of the FX/CFD broker Moneta Markets. Registered in Saint Lucia in 2025 and launched in January 2026. Its flagship product is Instant Funding (from $5K for $69), which requires no evaluation and lets you trade from day one, with a profit split you choose at purchase — 60% or 88%. There are many account types: Instant Pro, Phoenix Instant (with scaling), 1-Step, 2-Step, and the hours-long Sprint. Platforms are MT5 and Match-Trader only. Available in Japan, but with no Japanese UI, and payouts are effectively USDT/USDC only.

1-step
$40 / $84 / $200 / $430 / $780 (list prices as of September 27, 2026). A 10% target against a static 6% drawdown makes this the toughest "target vs. loss allowance" ratio in Moneta's lineup (1.67x, with no phase reset). The minimum trading days isn't just "3 days" — it's "3 days on which you made at least 0.5% profit." No consistency rule; fee refunded on the 4th payout; leverage is 1:30 (lower than 2-Step's 1:100)

Pros and cons

+Pros

  • ✓Instant has no profit target, minimum trading days, or time limit, and you can choose an 88% split from day one
  • ✓Cheap for an instant-funded account: $5K $69 / $10K $141 / $100K $877 (or $40 / $73 / $454 with 15% consistency / 60% split; list prices as of September 27, 2026)
  • ✓Instant Pro has no consistency rule, allows news trading, and the first payout is on demand
  • ✓Weekend and overnight holds allowed (all plans)
  • ✓1-Step / 2-Step refund the fee on the 4th payout
  • ✓2-Step offers 1:100 leverage (1-Step and Instant are 1:30)
  • ✓Uses Moneta Markets' liquidity; commission is $4/lot round-trip on FX/metals, free on indices, energy, and crypto
  • ✓Can be purchased with card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or crypto (multiple chains)
  • ✓Trustpilot 4.5 (225 reviews, as of September 9, 2026)

-Cons

  • ✗⚠️ Instant's max drawdown is a 5% trailing stop (for purchases from July 2, 2026 onward; it was 6% before). It follows the higher of balance/equity and locks at the initial balance
  • ✗⚠️ Instant accounts purchased from September 21, 2026 onward fail instantly and without warning once floating loss on a single symbol reaches 1% of the account size — in practice you need to keep per-trade risk under 1%
  • ✗⚠️ Instant / Instant Pro accounts purchased from September 21, 2026 onward have the max loss line raised and locked to the initial balance as soon as a payout is approved (after that, dropping below the initial balance fails the account)
  • ✗⚠️ Instant (standard) has a 15% or 20% consistency rule: if one day's profit exceeds that percentage of total profit, the payout is held
  • ✗⚠️ 88% isn't the split on every account. Standard Instant lets you choose 60% or 88% at purchase, and 88% costs more
  • ✗News trading banned (±5 minutes around ForexFactory red-folder events, except Instant Pro)
  • ✗On funded accounts, floating loss on a single symbol hitting a threshold (3% for 2-Step 5%/10%, 2% for 2-Step 4%/8%, 1-Step, and Phoenix) closes everything and halts trading for the day, after which a 1.5%-per-idea limit kicks in (the help center gives both 3% and 2% for Instant Pro's threshold)
  • ✗14 days until the first payout (except Instant Pro). Payout methods are effectively USDT/USDC only (Wise and bank transfer couldn't be confirmed on the official site)
  • ✗Commercial EAs and copying other services' signals are banned (only self-built EAs are allowed)
  • ✗Leverage is a low 1:30 on FX (1:100 on 2-Step only)
  • ✗Trustpilot has a cluster of reports from June–September 2026 about accounts being closed and payouts unpaid after multiple withdrawals. The payout terms page is password-protected
  • ✗A new firm registered in 2025, with frequent changes to terms and drawdown rules (T&Cs are the August 24, 2026 version)
  • ✗No Japanese UI or support (language options are English, Chinese, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Hindi, Malay, Korean, and Arabic)

FAQ

Q

Does everyone get an 88% split on instant accounts?

No. Standard Instant Funding lets you choose a 60% or 88% split at purchase, and 88% costs more. For example, $10K is $73 with 15% consistency / 60% split, or $141 with 20% consistency / 88% split (list prices confirmed on the official site September 27, 2026). Instant Pro, 1-Step, 2-Step, and Phoenix are fixed at 88%.

Q

How does the trailing drawdown work?

Instant's max loss is a 5% trailing stop (for accounts purchased from July 2, 2026 onward; it was 6% before). The loss line tracks the higher of balance and equity, and once it reaches the initial balance it locks there and doesn't rise any further. In other words, once you're up 5% or more, it effectively becomes a static rule: "fail if you drop below the initial balance." Note that this includes your highest floating profit, not just closed profit. Also, for accounts purchased from September 21, 2026 onward, the line locks to the initial balance as soon as a payout is approved (same for Instant Pro).

Q

What is the consistency rule?

This rule only applies to standard Instant, where you choose 15% or 20% at purchase. If "one day's profit ÷ total profit" exceeds that percentage, the payout is held, and you have to keep trading until it comes back within range. It resets on every payout. For example, if you chose 20% and your total profit is $1,000, having a single day where you made more than $200 puts the payout on hold. This suits a style of accumulating small amounts daily, and doesn't suit a one-big-win approach.

Q

Should I choose Instant or Instant Pro?

If you need no consistency rule, news trading allowed, and an on-demand first payout, go with Instant Pro — but it costs roughly 3.5–6x standard (20%/88%) prices ($5K $250 vs. $69, $100K $5,300 vs. $877), and hitting a 4% daily profit auto-closes everything and halts trading until the next day. The envelope is wider, though: 4% daily / 8% max trailing. If you're steadily accumulating over days or weeks, go standard; if you're trading events or aiming for bigger single-day gains, Pro suits better.

Q

Should I buy 1-Step or 2-Step?

It depends on how you trade. Per dollar of loss allowance, 1-Step is the more expensive option. At $100K list prices (September 27, 2026): 1-Step is $780 for a 6% ($6,000) allowance ($130 per $1,000 of allowance), 2-Step 4%/8% is $660 for an $8,000 allowance ($83), and 5%/10% is $855 for a $10,000 allowance ($86). 1-Step also asks more relative to its envelope — a 10% target against a 6% max loss — and leverage is 1:30 (vs. 1:100 on 2-Step). On the other hand, since 1-Step reaches funded status in one step, it leaves more of the year for you to trade a funded account. In our expected value simulation (daily losses stopped at 2.5%, fixed per-trade risk, list prices), 1-Step beats every skill level once you're risking 1% or more per trade, while at 0.5% per trade it's roughly tied with or behind 2-Step. If you have days where you take a big loss, or want more daily breathing room, the 5%/10% version of 2-Step (5% daily, 10% max loss) suits you better.

Q

When and how do I get my first payout?

Standard Instant, 1-Step, 2-Step, and Phoenix pay out 14 calendar days after your first trade, then every 14 days, with a $100 minimum. Instant Pro can be requested on demand once you hit $100. You're paid via USDC-ERC20, USDT-ERC20, USDT-TRC20, or a Moneta Markets trading account (+20% bonus or 2x credit). Processing takes 24–48 business hours. KYC runs through Sumsub, and the payout name must match your KYC details.

Q

Can I use this from Japan? Is there Japanese support?

Japan is not on the restricted-country list (Iran, Afghanistan, Thailand, Cuba, Myanmar, North Korea, UAE, Venezuela, Vietnam, plus sanctioned countries), so it's usable. That said, the site's language switcher doesn't include Japanese, and support is English-only. Payouts are effectively crypto, so converting to yen and taxes are on you. Third-party sources say the broker doesn't accept Japanese residents, so the Moneta Markets account payout option (2x credit) is likely unusable for Japan-based traders.

Q

Can I use an EA (automated trading)?

You can use an EA you built yourself. Commercial EAs, third-party EAs, and copying external signals are banned. On funded accounts, floating loss on a single symbol hitting a threshold (3% for 2-Step 5%/10%, 2% for the rest) auto-closes every position and halts trading for the day, after which a 1.5%-per-idea risk limit kicks in (lifted after 14 days plus 20 trades on a separate funded account). Averaging-down or multi-position EAs tend to hit this threshold easily, so be careful. Instant accounts purchased from September 21, 2026 onward fail instantly and without warning at 1% floating loss, so any EA that can't keep per-trade risk under 1% won't work here.

Q

What's the reputation like? Any payout trouble?

Trustpilot sits at 4.5 (225 reviews as of September 9, 2026), with many reports of payouts processed in 3–6 hours. On the other hand, from June–September 2026 there were multiple 1-star reports of accounts being closed on their 3rd or 4th payout request, with roughly $3,000 left unpaid, citing vague reasons like "document forgery" or "rule optimization / gamification." The payout terms page being password-protected doesn't help transparency either. If you build up a meaningful profit, we'd recommend withdrawing early and checking for rule changes regularly.

Q

Are there any coupons or discounts?

Yes. As of September 27, 2026, the official site's banner shows "FLASH40" (40% off; the official help center says it runs through the end of September; there was also a first-purchase-only "Dubai50" at 50% off from September 22–24). "TOKONATSU50" (50% off, for first-time buyers), distributed via note.com by Moneta Funded's Japan BD rep (Natsuki Nattsu), was verified to apply across all programs at checkout on September 10, but hasn't been re-checked as of September 27, 2026. Codes can't be combined, and changing account size or split removes the code, so decide your configuration first and enter the code last, then confirm the total.

Q

What's Moneta Funded's expected value? Which plan is best?

We ran a one-year Monte Carlo comparing 2-Step (5%/10% and 4%/8%), 1-Step, Instant, and Instant Pro under the official rules (list prices as of September 27, 2026). At 1% per trade and a 55% win rate, 1-Step comes out on top at +$24,796, followed by 2-Step 5%/10% at +$22,016. Instant's 1% floating-loss rule limits it to 0.5% per trade, where it takes first place (+$17,017) under that constraint. Instant Pro's high price puts it last under every condition. See Moneta Funded's expected value for details.

Q

Is this the same company as Moneta Markets?

The founder/CEO is the same person, David Bily, and the official marketing says "100% Backed By Moneta Markets." Under the terms of service, though, Moneta Funded Ltd. (Saint Lucia, 2025-00532) and Moneta Markets Ltd. are separate legal entities, and Moneta Funded itself is neither a broker nor a regulated entity. It's fair to lean on the broker's credibility while treating the prop side as an unregulated newcomer.
