The official help center article "Is EA allowed in FundedNext?" was revised to state that $50K, $100K and $200K accounts must be traded fully manually, on both the challenge and funded stages, with EAs, bots and any automation tools banned. EAs remain usable only on MT4/MT5 accounts under $50K (paid add-on). The official site doesn't specify when this applies to existing accounts, so if you're currently running one, get written confirmation from support. FAQ
Can I change strategy mid-challenge or after passing?
This firm expects strategy consistency, so be careful here. The official site explicitly states it expects you to "maintain the same strategy through the Challenge and FundedNext account." In particular, passing the challenge with an EA/bot and then switching to manual trading on the funded account (or vice versa) is clearly banned. On top of that, the evaluation model carries a consistency rule, applied per account. Running the same strategy on multiple accounts is also banned, so this doesn't pair well with running the same EA across several accounts.
How many accounts can I hold at once?
Up to a combined $300,000. Accounts still in the challenge stage (demo, in progress) don't count toward this cap until they go funded, so you can add as many evaluation accounts as you like without worrying about the limit.
⚠️ Can I use an EA (automated trading)?
It depends on account size. In September 2026, the official help center was revised to state: "traders with accounts of $50,000 or more must trade manually and cannot use Expert Advisors, trading bots, or any automation tools," and that this applies to "both the challenge account and the FundedNext account." EAs are only usable on accounts under $50,000 — that is, $6K, $15K and $25K (for Stellar Lite: $5K, $10K and $25K; for Instant, every size) on MT4/MT5, and only with a paid add-on (non-refundable). cTrader and Match-Trader ban EAs regardless of account size. If you want to run an EA on a $100K account, consider FTMO, Funding Pips, Fintokei or Funded7. More detail is in our news article (/en/articles/fundednext-ea-ban-50k-2026-09).
What if I'm already running an EA on an account of $50K or more?
The official help center doesn't specify an effective date or whether the rule applies to existing accounts (as of September 9, 2026). That said, the wording covers "both the Challenge and FundedNext account," so it's safest to assume running accounts are covered too. Either stop the EA, or get written confirmation from support first — ask something like: "My existing $100K account is running an EA. Does the new rule apply to it, and from when?" A violation starts with a soft breach (redo the phase) and escalates to account suspension and payout denial if repeated.
Can I use an EA on a BOGO (buy one get one free) account?
For accounts under $50K only: Free/BOGO accounts do not automatically get the EA/VPS add-on, so you need to pay to activate it from the dashboard. Accounts of $50K or more can't use an EA even with the add-on purchased.
Do I get paid anything during the challenge itself?
On Stellar 2-Step and 1-Step, 15% of the challenge's profit target is paid out as a "performance reward" at your first scale-up (per the official plans page, confirmed September 27, 2026). It is not paid the moment you pass — only at the first scale-up.
What does the 24-hour payout guarantee mean?
Payout requests are guaranteed to be processed within 24 hours. Compensation is offered if there's a delay.
What's the difference between Stellar 1-Step and Stellar 2-Step?
1-Step requires hitting a 10% target in a single pass, with a minimum of 2 days. Its max loss (6%) and daily limit (3%) are tighter, but after passing, you can withdraw every 5 business days, and the fee is refunded at your 3rd payout. 2-Step is 8%→5% across two phases, each with a 5-day minimum. Its max loss (10%) and daily limit (5%) leave more room, and the fee is refunded with your first payout. Payouts start at 21 days, then every 14 days. In our one-year simulation (/en/articles/fundednext-expected-value-2026-09), assuming daily losses are capped at 2.5%, 1-Step came out ahead under almost every scenario.
Is the fee refundable?
On Stellar 2-Step, the fee is refunded with your first payout. On Stellar 1-Step and Stellar Lite, it's refunded at your 3rd payout. Stellar Instant has no refund. The EA add-on fee is never refundable (official site, confirmed September 27, 2026).
What are the rules for Stellar Instant?
There's no evaluation — you're on a FundedNext account from day one. There's no profit target, daily loss limit, minimum trading days, or consistency rule. Max loss is a 6% trailing line set below the highest confirmed balance; it rises as you profit and locks at the starting balance. It doesn't drop after payouts. The split is 70% for Tier 1-2, rising to 80% from Tier 3. Payouts are on-demand once account growth hits 5%, or every 14 days once it hits 1%. Sizes are $2K, $5K, $10K and $20K — there is no $100K. The dedicated coupon INSTANT30 gives 30% off.
Is there a per-trade risk limit?
On FundedNext accounts, per-trade-idea risk is always capped at 3% of the account (applies to every plan).
What other conditions apply to using an EA under $50K?
EAs specifically designed to pass prop firm challenges (Prop Pilot EA, PropEA, Gold OneShot EA, Forex Flex EA, X Pass Bot, etc.) are explicitly banned. EAs that integrate with external apps like Telegram or WhatsApp are also disallowed. The maximum combined capital for a single EA strategy is $300,000. EA parameters must be customized to your own trading style — running the exact same settings as another trader is not allowed. Tools that auto-adjust SL/TP/lot size also count as EAs.
