[September 2026] We Calculated MyFundedFutures' Expected Value | Builder at Zero Edge, Rapid EOD (No Payout Cap) Once You Have an Edge

Published: 9/23/2026Updated: 9/23/2026

※ Prices and rules were confirmed against MyFundedFutures' official help center (help.myfundedfutures.com) and each plan's page on September 23, 2026. The figures are Monte Carlo results and don't guarantee future performance.

TL;DR

  • At zero edge, go with Builder $50K. At 0.30 lots, +$1,658/year (61% chance of finishing positive)
  • If you have an edge, go with Rapid EOD or Rapid. Once funded, there's no payout cap and you can withdraw daily. At "medium" edge and 0.30 lots, that's +$24,039/year (Rapid EOD)
  • Still falls short of FTMO Futures Pro $50K. At the same 0.30 lots and zero edge, FTMO comes in at +$4,836 versus Builder's +$1,658
  • Switched to a one-time purchase in August 2026 (previously a monthly subscription). No activation fee
  • There's no VPS policy written anywhere. Automated trading is allowed, but if you're running it on a cloud server, check with support first

Common to all plans:

  • Max loss during evaluation is trailing, based on closing price, and stops at initial balance + $100 (judged on floating loss too)
  • A consistency violation during evaluation isn't a fail — you can still pass by racking up more trading days
  • You can hold up to 5 gold micro contracts (0.50 lots) on a $50K account
  • Daily forced close-out is 4:10 PM ET (5:10 the next morning JST in summer, 6:10 in winter). No carrying positions overnight
  • Japan is not on the restricted-country list

Automated trading and VPS

Automated trading is allowed. Here's the original text from the official help center:

Traders may make use of automated trading strategies tailored to their own specific settings so long as these automated tools do not aim to exploit the favorable fills offered in the Simulated Environment.

HFT, multiple limit orders at the same price, tight brackets that exploit the absence of slippage (placing TP/SL extremely close together), copying someone else's trades, and hedging are all banned. Copying between your own accounts is allowed.

VPS and VPN aren't mentioned anywhere — not in any of the 71 help articles, the terms, or the plan pages. If you're planning to run an EA on a cloud server, check with support first.

Assumptions

Same as the FTMO Futures expected-value article.

  • One trade per trading day on gold micro (MGC). At a 0.6% stop-loss, the loss on 0.10 lots (1 MGC contract) is $262
  • Same lot size for both the evaluation and funded account. 1 year (252 trading days)
  • Commission is $2.20 round-trip per MGC contract (from the official product list)
  • Reset fees aren't disclosed, so we treated a fail as buying a fresh evaluation (Rapid officially has "no resets")
  • Profit still sitting in the account after 1 year, or after moving to a live account, isn't counted
  • Since Builder's daily loss is a "stop for the day" type, we capped lot size (up to 0.30) so a single loss stays within $1,000

Result ①: annual expected value at a matched 0.30 lots

SkillBuilderRapidRapid EODPro
−0.04R+$345−$816−$340−$1,982
Zero edge+$1,658 (61%)+$686+$1,283−$334
Small (50% win rate, 1.2 payoff ratio)+$6,329+$7,284+$7,723+$6,210
Medium (55% win rate, 1.2 payoff ratio)+$13,672+$23,496+$24,039+$21,102
Strong (60% win rate, 1.2 payoff ratio)+$22,910+$43,852+$44,252+$38,765

The number in parentheses is the probability of finishing positive. "Strong" is a reference figure that barely anyone actually hits in reality.

  • Builder is best at zero edge. It's also the cheapest at $75. That said, each payout is capped at $2,000, and after 5 payouts you're moved to a live account
  • If you have an edge, go with Rapid EOD. No cap, daily payouts, and a 90% split. Since evaluation consistency is a tough 30%, it takes longer to pass
  • Rapid's max loss once funded is trailing and also tracks floating profit, but since we assume one trade per day with no floating profit carried overnight, the result ended up nearly identical to Rapid EOD

Result ②: the best setting for each plan

SkillBuilderRapidRapid EODPro
Zero edge+$1,658 (0.30)+$822 (0.50)+$1,283 (0.30)−$334 (0.30)
Small+$6,329 (0.30)+$14,687 (0.50)+$9,057 (0.50)+$13,310 (0.50)
Medium+$13,672 (0.30)+$42,096 (0.50)+$34,729 (0.50)+$38,479 (0.50)

The number in parentheses is the lot size. The ceiling is the rule's own 0.50-lot cap. If you have an edge, it pays to size up to 0.50 lots — at "medium" skill, Rapid comes in at +$42,096/year. That said, this sizing means a single loss eats 66% of your max loss allowance.

Comparison against FTMO Futures and Topstep ($50K, 0.30 lots)

SkillMFFU BuilderMFFU Rapid EODFTMO Futures ProTopstep
Zero edge+$1,658+$1,283+$4,836+$2,519
Medium+$13,672+$24,039+$26,306+$24,982

FTMO Futures Pro has the higher expected value. MFFU's strengths are the uncapped, daily payouts (Rapid, Rapid EOD) and its cheap price.

Notes

  • Reset fees aren't published. We treated every fail as a fresh purchase here, so if resets turn out to be cheap, the real numbers would be a bit better
  • There's no VPS policy. Check with support before running anything on the cloud
  • There are inconsistencies within the official material.
    • Date of the switch to one-time purchases: the help center says August 25, 2026; the terms say August 20
    • Rapid's max loss: the evaluation table says "based on closing price," but another article says it "also tracks floating profit"
    • Builder $50K's price: the help center's table lists two different figures, $153 and $125
  • The news-trading rule also differs by article. Some articles state that once funded, Rapid and Pro accounts can't hold a position within 2 minutes of a major release (FOMC, NFP, CPI, etc.). This wasn't included in this calculation
  • The account expires after 7 days without trading

FAQ

Q. Which plan should I buy?

If you're not confident in your edge, go with Builder $50K ($75). If you have an edge, go with Rapid EOD $50K — there's no payout cap, and at "medium" skill and 0.30 lots it came out to +$24,039/year.

Q. Is it no longer a monthly subscription?

Correct. Evaluations purchased on or after August 25, 2026 are one-time purchases with no recurring charge. Ones purchased before that date remain on the old monthly subscription.

Q. Can I run an EA on a VPS?

We don't know — it's not stated officially either way. Automated trading itself is allowed as long as it's "an automated tool tailored to your own settings." Check with support before putting it on a VPS.

We compared the three plans (Launch, Propel, Orbit) at futures prop BluSky Trading using a Monte Carlo simulation run for one year, from evaluation through payout. Verified pricing, reset fees, the Buffer Zone, and payout terms on the official help center and pricing page on September 25, 2026. It's a 3-stage model — Evaluation → Buffer Zone → Sim Funded — and failing the Buffer Zone doesn't send you back to redo the evaluation. At 0.30 lots and zero edge, Propel $50K (code 30OFF brings it to $112/month) is best at +$2,988/year. Orbit's 30-day deadline is a heavy burden, and it comes out negative at zero edge.

At 0.30 lots and zero edge, Momentum (end-of-day) comes out best at +$2,047/year; with 'medium' edge, Qualification leads at +$25,529. [September 2026] We Calculated Funded Futures Network (FFN)'s Expected Value: Both Plans Negative at Zero Edge, STEADY Wins With Edge Thanks to Faster Payouts

We compared futures prop firm Funded Futures Network (FFN)'s two plans (Standard MAX and STEADY) with a 1-year Monte Carlo simulation running from evaluation through payout. Pricing, reset fees, buffer requirements, and payout conditions confirmed on the official help center and pricing page on September 25, 2026. At 0.30 lots and zero edge, both are negative: Standard MAX at −$312/year, STEADY at −$516/year. The requirement to build a $2,000 + $500 buffer on the funded account before any payout is the biggest drag. With edge, STEADY pulls ahead since it drops the consistency rule after passing and allows daily payouts.
